Wendy J. Roundtree, APR
Wendy J. Roundtree, APR, is a communications strategist and social impact leader. In 2018, she founded Jarel Communications to elevate the stories of organizations dedicated to driving meaningful change in their communities.
Prior to establishing the firm, Wendy served at Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), the eighth-largest school district in the nation. At OCPS, she specialized in executive speechwriting, employee communications, integrated marketing, and media relations. Her background also includes in-house and agency roles, with industry experience spanning government, higher education, nonprofit, real estate, and healthcare.
In recognition of her achievements and advocacy in public relations, Wendy was named the 2023 Trailblazer Professional of the Year by the Sunshine District of the Public Relations Society of America. Her accolades also include being named to Orlando Magazine’s 2021 Women of the Year list, receiving a Women’s Achievement Award from the Women’s Executive Council, and being recognized as a 40 Under 40 recipient by both Bethune-Cookman University and the Orlando Business Journal.
Deeply engaged in her community, Wendy serves as Vice Chair of the Board for the Joe R. Lee Boys and Girls Club in Eatonville, Fla. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and previously served as president of the Orlando Regional Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Wendy earned her MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Bethune-Cookman University.

Alicia Pigon
Alicia Pigon, MSHSA, is a skilled strategist with more than 12 years of experience in operations and project management. Her experience includes working with local and national healthcare services organizations where she specialized in optimizing workflows and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
An accomplished author, Alicia significantly contributed to the Handbook of Healthcare Management (Fottler et al., 2015), where she co-authored chapters on “Healthcare Marketing and Social Media” and “Innovations in Healthcare Delivery.” She has also designed courses for Brown University's Executive Healthcare Management program, enhancing provider communication and patient engagement.
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. She is also certified in Lean Six Sigma and Lean Project Management.

Kelda Senior is an accredited public relations (PR) and business development professional with 15 years of strategic communications experience, specializing in outreach for the architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry.
Kelda has served as a spokesperson and public information officer (PIO) for public agencies, leading high-profile communications campaigns and community outreach initiatives. Her expertise spans local, state, and federal government projects, where she has played a key role in public engagement, stakeholder relations, and information dissemination for major transportation and infrastructure efforts throughout Florida.
Kelda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Central Florida. She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), and the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).

Lucy dillon
Lucy Dillon is a journalism and political science student at the University of Central Florida.
Her background includes internships with Orlando Weekly, where she wrote more than 75 digital and print stories over a single semester, and with Winter Garden VoxPopuli, where she covered the District 4 Orange County School Board race, District 41 Florida House of Representatives race, and the Town of Windermere.
Creative, collaborative and passionate about making a meaningful impact, Lucy is a politics beat reporter with The Charge News, UCF’s student-run news organization, and a 2024 recipient of the Wendy Chioji Memorial Scholarship.
She looks forward to driving positive change with Jarel Communications this semester.
